If you don’t find babies cute, you somehow missed the natural selection train where the cutest babies need to survive.

Park Ji-hun, the leader of V.O.S, recently revealed that he had a secret family in tow after a solid five years in the industry. The 30 year-old balladeer has been with his high school sweetheart, Sun Myung-sun, for the past seventeen years. Even though they haven’t been able to officially marry, they have even popped out a little one in 2006 by the name of Chan Bi-na, which translates roughly into “a brilliantly shining light.” Park Ji-hun provides a little perspective and background to his situation.

Both of us were born in Dae-jeon. My wife was studying in the school next to mine at ShinIl Girls’ High and we met through a mutual friend when we were in our third year of high school. We became each other’s first love. When I was approaching adulthood, I realized I wanted to do music and my wife supported me all the way. I went to the army when I was twenty-two, and thus had to postpone any plans for marriage or a musical career. After I got out of army, I wanted to pursue a singing career again. I will never forget how my wife has always been supportive towards my goals and decisions. But in the end when I really debuted as a singer, our marriage could not take place. It was painful not to be able to tell everyone about our son. It was tiring to hold back the freedom of my family for the sake of my status as a singer. When the news of our second child came, I was prepared to tell everyone about my family. I did not want it to be the case that our second child to arrive in August will not get any blessings. We thank all the fans who have been so supportive to our family.”

Got to admit, Park Ji-hun and his wife both have a lot of courage, tolerance, and love for one another to put up with this kind of situation. He could have easily ditched his girlfriend to become famous, and she could have easily left him for being a “selfish jerk.” Yet, they have remained together for SEVENTEEN years in secrecy, and the fire doesn’t seemed to have fizzled out, since they are going to bring another baby into this world.
